07.02.2017: Winter time is creative time

Despite the cold weather, work continues behind the scenes. First there is the repair of our forklift truck, which has received a new hydraulic cylinder.

We continue with the cleaning of the warehouse. In the meantime we have sorted out many parts which we do not expect to need in the near future. We have stored these in a freight car. The free space in the storeroom is now occupied by the trolleys, which were previously stored off the rails in the shed.

Meanwhile, some active people continue to build the future pump house next to the water tower. Here there is a very deep pump shaft from where the water from our well is pumped into the water tower. This shaft will be equipped with a new staircase and a crane track. As soon as this is finished, a roof will follow. This is not only to keep the shaft dry, but also to prevent anyone from falling into the shaft.

In spite of the winter we welcomed some groups of visitors. For example, members of the DR-Ehrenlokf
