25.01.2018: EMMA refurbishment makes progress

As reported, our small steam locomotive EMMA is being overhauled by the company MaLoWa in Benndorf at the foot of the Harz Mountains. Here the reconditioning is clearly progressing. The cab fittings are currently being overhauled. The injector pumps, which feed the water from the locomotive's tanks into the boiler are being reconditioned.. The axle bearings will be renewed and fitted with new lubrication pads. The steam regulator has been removed from the boiler and is currently being overhauled. A new ash pan is also being fabricated.
