Gatekeeper's hut

The gatekeeper's hut is located at the entrance to the former Wittenberge depot. Here there were strict personnel to ensure that no unauthorised persons gained access to the railway premises. During the GDR regime, this was regarded as particularly important, as locomotives from Bw Wittenberge worked passenger trains into "Non-socialist foreign territory"
