The running foreman's office was used as "base" by engine arrangers, known as running foremen. There was a large office on the ground floor where locomotive crews would book on and receive orders for their next turn of duty Today this is the museum entrance lobby. The locomotive shedmaster had his office on the floor above, which explains the lettering "Abteilung Tb
